Dear Parents/Students
The State Examinations Commission (SEC) will again provide a series of deferred Leaving Certificate examinations for candidates unable to sit one or more papers in the main sitting in June due to serious accident, injury or illness or due to close family bereavement.
The SEC has now published an Information Guide for Candidates and Parents Guardians on the deferred examinations which is available here or on the SEC website under Examinations 2026, Reasonable Accommodations. We have been asked that this publication is brought to the attention of parents and candidates ahead of the commencement of examinations.
