Urgent Sixth Years-Candidate Self Service Portal 2026

Dear Parent/Guardian,

The Leaving Certificate Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP) 2026 has now reopened and will remain open until 5pm on Thursday 12 February.

Candidates who registered previously in October 2025 should log in to review their details to confirm or amend their subjects and/or levels if these have changed since they originally registered. The timing of this reopening has taken in to account the mock examinations in so far as that is possible.

Registered candidates will require the user name and password they created when they initially registered.

All registered candidates should access their account at this time to check/confirm/ amend their details. Some candidates did not complete all stages of the initial registration process so may find they have not registered their subjects correctly.

Leaving Certificate Applied candidates are now invited to create their accounts during this period. Leaving Certificate Applied candidates are only required to create their accounts and are not required to confirm subjects.

Candidates Who Have Not Registered

With Oral examinations imminent and other examination activities ongoing it is vital that all candidates are registered for the examinations. We contacted all schools recently with details of unregistered candidates according to our records.

Please immediately arrange for any unregistered candidates who intend to sit the Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied examinations this year to register their entry on the Candidate Self Service Portal by 12 February at the latest. In addition to examination registration, the CSSP provides access to results and the later stages of the process such as the viewing appeals services. This is the final time the CSSP will open for entries this year.

Candidates registering for the first time will require their examination number and PIN (first 4 digits of your PPSN).

A one page guide to the registration process stages is in appendix 1.

Helpdesk support is available at 1800-111135 or 1800-111136 between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday until Thursday 12 February. Email enquiries can be sent to candidateportal@examinations.ie

You are reminded that the gradual removal of the post-marking adjustment at Leaving Certificate, begun in 2025, will continue in 2026 when Leaving Certificate results on the aggregate will be brought just below 2020 levels.

Any other queries please let us know.

Kind regards,

Caitriona Smith
